What a Croc

Slate has a great article all about Crocs. Even though I think they are incredibly ugly it was still an interesting read. (If you are a nerd like I am!)

For now I will stick to my espadrilles for comfort. Although it would have been a good bet to buy the stock when it went public...

Update: There is also an article in today's (July 15th) NYT's magazine on the same subject.

that article was interesting. I DETEST those shoes. After the age of 5, one should not be allowed to wear them. period.

I worked in a hospital this summer and I have to say, the hospital is probably one of the few places where footwear such as crocs might be acceptable.
1)Crocs match the brightly pastel-colored scrubs
2)It's no problem washing afterbirth off your shoes, although you probably want to scrub between your toes if that happens

If I saw you on the street wearing crocs - well let's just say I would judge you, your appearance, and your net worth.

Those shoes are taking over the world and I hate them! If you want to see my new favorite funky shoes, go to www.barefoottess.com. Check out the Mocs. Different shoe but super comfy and you can wear anywhere and here is the biggest selling point (funny because that site sells up to 15)... the Mocs are not Crocs!
